Ms.LaRocco's Biography
Although this is my third year at Simpson Academy for Young Women, I have previous experience teaching in two other districts. I teach special education, focusing on English as well as providing resource assistance in other core subjects. I started college at University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign as a history major, but I later switched to majoring in special education because I strongly believe in the unique learning abilities of all students. During a typical day, I co-teach with core content teachers, open my classroom before school and at least two periods a day to give students additional assistance, as well as teach a Topics in Literature class.
